Lonely Flower Chap.5

It was early Saturday morning and Lilly was getting ready for her movie night with Frances and her friends. As she was brushing her hair, Lilly has thoughts about Frances’s friends not liking her. Since, Lilly was distracted with her thoughts, she didn’t hear the doorbell ringing.

Frances walked up to Lilly’s room and knocked on her door. “Lilly?” She asked.

Lilly gasped and turned to the door. “C-Come in.” She said. Frances opened the door and smiled seeing Lilly’s room.

“Hey Lilly, you ready?” Frances asked.

Lilly nodded. “Y-Yes. I am.” She said. Lilly grabbed her purse, and Frances smiled and took her hand. Both went downstairs and to the front yard into Frances’s mom’s car. During the car ride, Frances and Lilly had a conversation about their favorite music and art they love to draw and sketch. There conversation took the whole car ride, and they finally made it to the theatre.

“Frances,” Her mother said.

“Yeah.” She replied.

“I have to head to work, so your walking home with Ashley.”

Frances nodded. “Okay thanks, bye mom!”

“Bye sweetie.” The two gave a goodbye kiss, and Frances’s mom drove off. Lilly looked around for Frances’s friends, but saw no one here, except the two and other people.

“So where are your friends?” Lilly asked.

“They’ll be here shortly, I just had to get here early to pick up the tickets.” Frances said.

“Oh.” Lilly replied. Frances smiled and went in line to get the tickets she ordered. Once she got the tickets, she saw Iris run by waving at Frances and Lilly.

“Yo! Frances!” Iris yelled heading over to her friend. Frances smiled and hugged her friend.

“Iris!” She yelled as she hugged her. Frances smiled and looked at a now nervous Lilly. “Iris, this is Lilly.”

Iris went to Lilly and had her hand out, Lilly slowly took her hand and she shook it hard. Not hard enough to hurt her, but enough to shake her body. “You’re the girl me and Ashley met at lunch a few days ago.” She said.

Y-Yes.” Lilly said trying to stop shaking from the handshake. “H-hi.” She said nervously.

Frances chuckled. “Don’t be nervous, Iris is really cool. You’ll like her.” She said. Lilly gave a small smile and nodded.

Just a minute later, Ashley showed up walking to the girls, and Lilly quickly hid behind Frances. “Lilly? What’s wrong?” Frances asked.
“You’re the girl I tried to talk to into becoming part of our group.” Ashley said.

“Yeah, and failing.” Iris replied, earning a glare from Ashley.

Frances giggled a bit, and looked at Lilly. “Don’t worry, Ashley is really sweet once you get to know her.” Frances said.

“I-Is she really?” Lilly asked in a low whisper. Frances nodded with a smile.

“Come on, the movie will be starting soon, we have to get in or we’ll miss it.” Ashley said. Iris and Frances nodded, and went inside the movie theater.

The girls got to their seats, so Frances and Ashley could go and get some snacks. Iris looked at Lilly who was feeling comfortable about the whole thing with Ashley. “Lilly, after the movie I need to talk to you.” Iris whispered.

“What, why.” Lilly whispered back.

“Because, I feel like you should know a little bit about Ashley and I.” Iris explained.

Lilly looked down, until Frances and Ashley showed up with Popcorn, drinks, and other snacks for the group. “Alright.” Lilly replied, as she was given some snacks by Frances.
